Throughout the year the mountain’s personality changes with falling snow, the soft hues of the spring, and the richness of fall colors.
Observing wildlife from the tram is not an uncommon sight throughout the year. Most often we see Mule Deer along the the way and occasionally in the spring , bears are observed with cubs in tow and feeding in the many canyons below the tram.
Join us on a trip up the tram to take in the sights and enjoy a self guided hike while at the top. This tour option is a wonderful way to experience the whole mountain for those people who are unable to hike up.
Petroglyph National Monument, is located a short drive from downtown Albuquerque. Along the 17 miles of basalt escarpment you can find upwards of 25,000 petroglyphs that have been chipped into the rock by the ancestral Puebloans. Some petroglyphs pre-date the Puebloan time period and range as far back as 2000 B.C. while the majority are from roughly 1300-the 1700’s and have some Spanish influence.

Join us on a tour of Albuquerque, from the Rio Grande to the top of the Sandia's. Our tour offers a guided experience of the Petroglyph National Monument followed by an authentic lunch experience at El Pinto, a classic New Mexican restaurant. After lunch we will head up to the Sandia Tram and then to the top of the Sandia's. MST Adventures has provided guided trips since 2017 in Albuquerque, NM. Hotel pick up available.
